In light of the economic crisis in Japan and issues of global warming, how to reduce a cost and CO2 emissions are two major issues for many companies. Under such circumstances, we have developed a technology that fulfills these two needs at the same time; that is the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel.

The Fukai Green Emulsion fuel is the fuel that is emulsified with functional water added by 50 percent to heavy oil and kerosene. The characteristics of the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel is that, when burned, the calorific value (calorie) does not decrease despite the fact that water is added. Rather, the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel delivers higher calorific value than when 100 percent heavy oil is burned. What this means is that you can save your fuel cost for what water is added. In addition, you can reduce more CO2 emissions than what water is added. In conclusion, the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel is new energy that can reduce your fuel cost while reducing CO2 emissions. This is the only way to significantly reduce a fuel cost and CO2 emissions.

What are the differences from other emulsions?

Emulsion fuel has been researched for more than 60 years. While many companies have worked on this technology, most of it has not yet been put into practical use due to the following four reasons:

  1. 1.Calorific value decreases by what water is added.
  2. 2.Even though it is successful, it is costly for introduction, resulting in low cost benefit performance.
  3. 3.As emulsion units are too large, it is inconvenient to place them in a boiler room, etc.
  4. 4.Only a gas pilot type burner can be used for ignition. With an ignition trance type burner, it cannot be ignited. A kind of burner that can be used is limited.

Due to these four challenging issues, emulsion fuels have not yet been put into practical use despite the long term research. However, the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel has cleared these four challenges.

First of all, the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel has successfully cleared the most important issue: calorific value. According to measurement data, the calorific value of 100 percent heavy oil A is 81,000 calorie. In case of 50 percent oil and 50 percent water, if it produces more than 40,500 calories, it is regarded as successful emulsion fuel, as water accounts for 50 percent, and the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel produces 117,110 calories with 50 percent oil and 50 percent water. Despite the water accounting for 50 percent of the fuel, the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel can produce high calorific value, and the fuel cost can be saved as much as what water is added. In addition, as it also reduces CO2 emission more than what water is added, it can contribute to the environment, as well.

In terms of cost required for an installation, while other emulsion fuel units cost more than 20 million yen, the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel unit costs just around 7.5 million yen, less than half the cost required for other units. And finally, in terms of the compatibility of burners, any kinds of burner can be used for the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel unit. The Fukai Green Emulsion fuel has cleared all the issues for emulsion fuels.

Reasons why the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel has successfully been developed

With conventional emulsion fuels, people worked on the three things: a surfactant that emulsifies oil and water; an emulsification unit; and a boiler that burns it. And we are the first to focus on gwaterh in this industry and have succeeded in activating water. As a result, we have made it possible to blend water with heavy oil without using a surfactant, burning it without reducing the calorific value for the first time in the industry. Thanks to the activated water (Sosei Water), the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel can produce greater calorific value than when only heavy oil is burned.

Whatfs the system of the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel?

It is such a simple system. First of all, a tap water pipe should be connected to the Sosei Water generation unit. The produced Sosei Water is mixed with heavy oil/ kerosene automatically to produce the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel. Then, the emulsion fuel is sent to a boiler that has been used.

The most significant difference between the Fukai Green Emulsion fuel and other emulsion fuels is "water" to be used. With extremely small water clusters, the water can get into between oil particles. Therefore, like other conventional emulsion fuels, the water can smoothly be emulsified even though a surfactant is not added. In addition, you may get surprised, but the water is also "water that burns." I guess a hydrovolcanic explosion probably occurs, and in fact, when the calorific value of the emulsion fuel is measured at the time of combustion, it is much higher than when only fossil fuel of heavy oil is burned. Then why a hydrovolcanic explosion occurs is that I think itfs because the water still has "room to burn." Burning also means oxidation, so ordinary water is already in the state of oxidized H2O. However, this energy conversion functional water is bonded with electron states of H3O2-, which means that it still has more room to oxidize, that is "to burn."

After data were sent from Fukai souken Co.,Ltd., I examined them in detail and made my own analysis. And, simply, it is quite astonishing, because the Fukai Green Emulsion produces greater calorific power compared to that of base oils. What is more interesting is that as the amount of water to be added increases, the calorific value also increases. As these data are compiled based on figures measured by two public institutions in line with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), I think they can be reliable. In particular, each datum shows almost the same tendency. Therefore I believe that there is objectivity. I have no idea about the mechanism, but it is natural to think that probably there is a secret in the "water" which is added to the fuel. With the result of a calorific power measurement, it seems that a fuel cost can probably be reduced by 20-40 percent. In fact, I watched a video of a TV program on TV Tokyo the other day, and it introduced that Takamine Hot Springs in the Shinshu region saved as much as a ton of fuel per month after introducing this emulsion fuel system. Basically, I think this could be treated as a national project.
